Ajman Tourism Development Department marks Zayed Humanitarian Work Day
Ajman, UAE (June 23, 2016) – The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) is celebrating Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, to correspond with the death anniversary of the UAE's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman – Member of Federal Supreme Council several activities will be held today to commemorate Zayed Humanitarian Work Day. The 19th day of Ramadan is designated as Zayed Humanitarian Day across the country.
Dr. Zaki Nusseibeh, advisor and interpreter for the late President, Mr.Juma Al Darmaki, Head of Zayed Centre for Studies and Research, which carries intensive valuable knowledge about Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan biography along with HE Hamad bin Ghalita, Private Secretary to His Highness the Ruler of Ajman will attend the event along with VIPs and government officials.
Zayed Humanitarian Work Day is considered a milestone in the history of the UAE, as the event celebrates a range of achievements by the state in the field of humanitarian work by supporting other countries and people.
Dr. Zaki Nusseibeh will be sharing some of his career experience concerning philanthropy and humanitarian work in accordance to the thoughts and approach by Sheikh Zayed and his continuous efforts in humanitarian work aid through internal and foreign affairs.
HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD said: “Humanitarian role is a traditional approach which is a steady foundation in UAE foreign policy since the reign of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the state. It continues under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and we are proud to join the rest of the nation in celebrating this day.”
In the UAE there are various operational organizations which provide assistance, loans and grants for more than 43 government and non-governmental institutions including The Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation, Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent.
Ramadan Council Majlis - tolerance and humanity work, Zayed Humanitarian Work Day will be held in Ajman, on 23rd June 2016 after the Tarawih prayers - Musheirif area.
