Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) is the principal authority tasked with the strategic planning, development and promotion of Ajman as a tourism destination with aim of attracting tourists from around the world.
ATDD proposes legislation, rules and regulations aimed at developing the tourism sector in Ajman, working in cooperation with other government authorities.
ATDD also works with stakeholders to improve tourism facilities and services. The department manages the classification system for hotels and hotel apartments and the licensing, classification and supervision of tourism and travel agencies.
The department is responsible for promoting Ajman locally, regionally and internationally via conferences, exhibitions and promotional campaigns.
