Crafted by Nicklaus Design and managed by Troon Golf, Al Zorah Golf Club to the north of the city has been declared one of the best new golf venues in the world. Add in a stay at a luxury beachfront resort, and a golfing break in Ajman is pretty hard to beat.
Day 1
Before you hit the green, drop into Shakespeare and Co. in the clubhouse for a hearty breakfast of eggs Benedict, pancakes or foul mudammas and plenty of freshly brewed coffee.
Then tee off at the par-72, 7,334-yard Championship course set among natural mangroves and sandy areas. The course provides a tough but fair challenge for both experienced golfers and those who are new to the game, with 18 holes of lush fairways, strategically placed bunkers and generous greens.
When you’re done, return to the clubhouse to freshen up. Join your golfing buddies in the bar and relive your round over a cold beverage as the sun sets over the spectacular course.
For a relaxed meal, head to Fairmont Ajman. Kiyi serves authentic Turkish dishes that are ideal for sharing, while XOLO Bar has a tapas-style menu and dedicated cigar room.

Day 2
Whether you rise early or sleep ‘til late, you can enjoy a lazy breakfast and then retire to the pool or beach for a couple of hours sunbathing or swimming.
