The Red Fort

Situated in Al Manama, it is one of the most popular forts in the country and was used as an official residence by His Highness, Sheikh Humaid bin Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi (The current Ruler of Ajman). It gets its name from the red plaster used on the exterior walls, with sandalwood used for the beams and roof supports. It is surrounded by native trees along with a picturesque, drinking water-well close to the building.
